Having lived and travelled in Beijing, Chicago, and Kyoto, Yaduo and Elena chose to establish their design practice in Vancouver, a place where the city sits in close conversation with mountains and ocean.

Their work grows from a shared interest in how space can quietly shape the way we feel and live. They are drawn to honest materials, clear and considered spatial sequences, and the subtle play of light and shadow — elements that together create environments of calm, grounded, and lasting presence.

Informed by their international experience, they look for the shared human qualities that transcend culture, while remaining attentive to the specific character of each client and site.

They aim to design residences that resonate on a personal level
— spaces that reflect the people who inhabit them and gently nourish a sense of well-being.
